location

Sessions can be done in my home studio, outdoors, or your home (if space allows).  I love offering my newborn sessions in the comfort of your own home, although you’re welcome to come to me if you prefer.  Babies up to the ‘crawl away’ stage are perfect for my studio, but once they reach the mobile age it gets a little tricky and we can decide where the best place for your session is based on your baby’s personality.  Family sessions are best done outdoors so we have plenty of space and the children can be photographed as they normally act.  If you have a location in mind, i’d be happy to travel.

booking

Newborns are best done before 10 days old to get the sleeping baby poses that everyone loves.  I can pencil in your due date and keep my dates open for when you’re baby is born, i’m flexible with my dates and times so we can work around your baby.  As soon as your baby is born you can shoot me an email so we can set a definite date.
After choosing a date and time for a session you will receive a welcome package email going through everything in more detail.   You will also need to pay the $150 retainer fee to hold your spot.  This is payable via paypal or check and must be made within 3 days of booking your session.  I will keep in touch with you via your preferred method of contact up until your session date, the more i get to you know and your family the smoother things will go on picture day.  Your welcome package will cover details including what to wear and where to view your photographs when they’re ready.

what you get

I specialize in digital packages, which means your session fee includes all the digital images from your session.  I will email you a file containing instructions for downloading, printing, and suggested labs.  You will also get a signed print release and copyright terms and conditions.  Although i believe you should have all the images from your session to print as you wish, i also want you to have something tangible in your hands so you can see the value of a professionally printed product.  Your portrait session will include your choice of an accordion album with a few of your favorite images, or 3 5×7 mounted photographs with an easel or magnet back.

after your session

After your session I will spend between 1-2 weeks editing and enhancing your portraits.  If you signed the release form to include a ‘sneak peek’ i will post that and tag you on facebook.  If you chose to skip the sneak peak I will email you with the link and password to your gallery as soon as your portraits are complete.   From that gallery you will have the ability to download all of your images onto your computer and they’re yours to keep!  I’d be happy to help you if you need assistance in your ordering processes, and i also offer wall portraits and specialty items for an additional cost.   Your accordion album or 5x7s will be delivered 3-4 weeks after your session.
